Both "adorables" and "horribles" are adjectives you can use with a subjective or objective meaning.
In front of the noun, the meaning is subjective in a sense that it is my opinion, my own judgment.
After the noun, this characteristic will be more objective, kind of consensual, more "official", something that is recognized as true.

Generally size adjectives come before the noun. In the case of "robe longue", you can also say "une longue robe". When you put it after the noun, it means that you are referring to a specific category of dress. "longue robe" would mean that the dress is long, and that you are merely commenting on a quality of the dress. "robe longue" would mean that you are classifying it in the big category of long dresses, therefore not saying that the dress is especially long in itself.

"Fickle" adjectives

"Fickle" adjectives change their meaning depending on where they fall, usually with before=figurative, after=literal. So, before the noun, «simple» means "mere," and, after the noun, it means "simple." Some other non-BAGS "fickle" adjectives: «certain», «cher», «dernier», «pauvre», «propre» and «seul», just to name a few.
